Seattle Craftsman Remodel

In the Maple Leaf neighborhood of Seattle, my clients had purchased what they thought was their starter home back in 2003 – a 2,250 SF 1926 Craftsman located on a busy street. Three children and 15+ years later, they decided to firmly plant their roots and invest in making it beautiful and more functional for their whole family. A full-scale remodel ensued — from the kitchen to the bathroom and everything in between. We brought in color, pattern and functionally — adding a tremendous amount of storage traditionally lacking in a Craftsman home. The biggest transformation is how the first floor is so much more connected than before, allowing my clients to spend time together in that whole space. Whether it’s cooking in the kitchen while someone is hanging out in the dining room or connecting a disjointed living room with an additional seating area – it now feels as one and has truly made it their forever home.

“Knowing we wanted an update to our kitchen, but wanting more than an Ikea fix, we were referred to Amy by our design-focused sister-in-law. Amy is super to work with, listened to what we had in mind for our remodel, and gave us design options at every step of the way. We adore the finished product, and love spending time in our “new” house together as a family. We can’t wait to update our basement in the next few years with her input!
