Blurring the lines between office and showroom

When your client asks you to create a retail/office showroom that feels more like a cool space to hangout, you jump at the chance. The design needed to tie together a work space, retail area, restroom, storage and a kitchen, all while blurring the lines from where one area stopped and the other began. We married together concrete and steel with playful pops of color and elements of craft that speak to the brand's spirit. Custom details abound with the shelving, conference room table, and metal and wood display boxes. What started as a 1,100 SF empty box, was transformed into a fun and inspiring showroom for everyone who walks through the doors.

“Now when I walk into a beautifully designed space, I have a whole new appreciation for the details. Details I didn’t always see before we started designing our first commercial space. The Residency Bureau led us through the entire process seemingly effortlessly from concept ideation, layout, colors, and textures to watering our new office plants for the first time. Even the dreaded permitting and construction was imaginative, collaborative, and fun. I look forward to spending my days surrounded by all those beautiful details and sharing with the world a space that really communicates who we are as a company.
