As an interior design, our most essential focus is the marriage form and function in your space. To achieve this, we learn about your lifestyle and the needs of your space, as well as your design preferences. We bring it all to life through the selection of all of the furnishings, lighting, finishes, and accessories for your spaces.
An architectural team will be the expert in the structure of the home, and we would work closely with them to achieve aesthetic goals. The contractor will be responsible for executing the design plans, and managing the associated tradespeople.
In our most comprehensive design plan, we’ll take care of every detail of your project beginning with the initial concepts, then presenting and refining the design plan, and then working with the rest of the team to ensure that it is executed with care.
We begin every project by determining if our team is a good fit for your project. To do this, please share as much information as you can in our Inquiry Form. Next, we’ll contact you to schedule a 30-minute Discovery Call, and – if we mutually decide to move forward – the next step will be a call or meeting to learn more about the scope of work. From there, we will create a unique proposal, and present our plan for the design, budget, and timeline.
We are happy to collaborate with architecture firms in the design process of major remodels or custom builds. However, we do ask to be involved in the design and planning meetings as early as possible to keep the process streamlined and to define clear lines of responsibility.
Absolutely! Our job is to create beautiful and original designs by taking your perspective, lifestyle, and goals for the home into consideration. It’s essential to understand how you want to live in your home so that we can create a space that genuinely represents your life and reflects your past.
You’ll learn about all of the details during an in-person design presentation, and we’ll have as many samples as possible on hand as we walk through the design together. We’ll also include renderings, photos, and drawings to help you visualize it all. Revisions are always a critical part of the process – for you and us – so we welcome your feedback.
When possible, we can reuse your existing pieces – especially those with special meaning to you. Please let us know as soon as possible about any items that you would like to incorporate into the design. If a piece isn’t working, we’ll work with you to find another place for it within your home.
We can’t say for certain until we know all of the details, but our furnishing and renovation projects typically take between 8-12 months and our new construction projects are always a year or more. The best time to reach out to us is 6-12 months before you expect your project begins, so that we can be fully prepared before construction starts.
We do many projects outside of the Seattle area, and our process works in much the same way whether you are down the street or across the country. Our team will be required to travel for any in-person meetings with our out-of-town clients, and we’ll negotiate the cost and frequency of those visits up front.
