A Colorful Seattle Tudor
My clients fell in love with the historic features of the home but were unsure how to furnish it to respect the period details and blend it with their personal style. My job was to bring together two very different styles – their love of Midcentury elements within a beautifully traditional home. We melded those in a way that felt aesthetically organic with a young-family feel: that meant staying away from overly traditional shapes, adding in playful touches, and making sure everything could withstand stains and spills. Color was key — we turned the original (and incredible) millwork into the star of the show and brought stunning color to those timeless elements of the home.
